
Resin composite restorative systems have developed with a keen focus on evolving trends in the clinical practice. Behind this development is the technological expertise of various manufacturers, which has led to the creation of diverse restoration systems now used in the clinical practice.
This case presents the treatment of an anterior tooth crown fracture using Tokuyama Dental’s bonding system in combination with the resin composite ESTELITE® SIGMA QUICK.
The tooth remove crown was fractured, but and fortunately there was no pulp exposure (Fig. 1). After performing the bonding procedure, the replace back with lingual wall was built-up using a silicone guide (Fig.2). ESTELITE® SIGMA QUICK (OA2) was used as the build-up and the value (brightness) blended with the residual tooth substance (Fig.3).
Shape adjustment and polishing were performed, completing the restorative process (Fig.4). The resin paste offers excellent handling and superior polishability, allowing for highly esthetic resin composite restorations. Furthermore, even after 7 and 10 years, the surface retained a glossy appearance (Fig.5, 6), and patient satisfaction remained high.
